1. Status of these terms
These terms are a working draft for GripRank's public website and competition platform. Any clause marked [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal] is intentionally left for owner or legal approval and should be reviewed before these terms are treated as final.
By using GripRank, visitors, organisers, staff, judges, athletes, and guardians are expected to follow these platform rules together with event-specific rules set by the relevant organiser.
2. GripRank services
GripRank provides software and public pages used to support climbing competitions, including:
- competition setup, registration, and athlete administration;
- judge workflows, scoring, rankings, and leaderboards;
- public event, result, and spectator-facing pages; and
- related account, support, analytics, and payment-connected functionality.
Service descriptions, feature commitments, uptime commitments, and paid-plan entitlements are [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal] unless expressly agreed elsewhere in writing.
3. Accounts and registrations
Users may need an account to access organiser, staff, judging, or athlete features. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account where permitted by law.
If you submit athlete registration data, including minors' names or dates of birth, you must have the authority to provide that information and to use GripRank for the relevant event administration purpose. Exact responsibility split between GripRank and event organisers for registration accuracy, notices, and consents is [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
4. Payments and fees
Some services or registrations may require payment. GripRank expects payments to be processed via Stripe or Stripe-connected flows. Billing ownership, refund rules, chargeback handling, taxes, and whether GripRank or the organiser is the merchant of record are [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
You agree to provide accurate billing information for any paid transaction and to pay applicable fees presented at checkout or in an agreed commercial arrangement.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse GripRank. This includes not attempting to:
- access data or areas of the service without authorisation;
- interfere with scoring, rankings, registration, or live competition operations;
- upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful material; or
- reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the platform beyond rights allowed by law.
6. Competition data, public results, and analytics
GripRank may display event information, athlete names, rankings, scores, team names, and results where that is part of the normal operation of a competition service. Which fields are public by default, especially for minors, is [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
GripRank also uses analytics and performance tooling, including Umami and Vercel Analytics/Speed Insights, to understand site usage and improve reliability.
7. Intellectual property
GripRank and its branding, software, and site content remain the property of GripRank and its licensors, except for content or data owned by organisers, athletes, or other users.
Ownership of competition data exports, user-submitted media, and rights granted to GripRank to use event materials are [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
8. Suspension, disclaimers, and liability
GripRank may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, non-payment, policy violations, or protection of event integrity.
Detailed warranty disclaimers, limitation-of-liability caps, service availability language, and force-majeure wording are [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
9. Governing law and contact
Governing law, dispute venue, legal notices address, and the contracting legal entity are [TO CONFIRM — Winson/legal].
General questions about these terms can currently be sent through the contact page or to contact@griprank.com.
